About the work
Between Bow and Signal is an experimental performance exploring the space between acoustic gesture and electronic response. Cello sound is processed, transformed, layered, and returned to the performer in real time, creating an improvisational relationship between instrumental action and digital behavior.
The project is less concerned with applying effects to an instrument than with treating processing as a partner in performance: a system that can extend, destabilize, or redirect the cellist’s listening and physical decisions.
